I'm thinking about installing this program on my Windows computer. Here is the maker's own description of it, from their web page. Explain in plain words what it does, using only what this text says.

## What it does

- Runs on your computer. The AI is installed here, not rented from somewhere.
- Reads your WhatsApp and your email, and drafts the reply before you open it.
- Keeps your customers, quotes and bookings. Files the paperwork once you have approved it.
- Signs in to Simpler.Asia, its online service, and gets 318 more tools: invoices, expenses, stock and forecasts. Those records are kept online.
- Blanks out names and numbers before a cloud AI can see your document.
- Writes down everything it did, so you can go back and check.

## What it never does

- Send anything without showing you the card first. Sending never runs on its own. Filing and other tool calls can, once you have trusted that tool after enough approvals, and Permissions lets you take that back.
- Upload your chats or your mail. Cloud AI with a key of your own stays off until you paste one in, and names are blanked first. A Simpler.Asia tool gets only what that job needs, after your yes, and does its AI work on Simpler.Asia.
- Touch a bank account or a card. It has no way to move money at all.
- Update itself behind your back, or stop working when the internet drops. Your records and its own AI stay usable; WhatsApp, email and the Simpler.Asia tools wait for the connection.

## Where it is weak

- Signing the installer is in process, so for now Windows will put up a warning.
- One person on one computer. There is nothing to share with a colleague yet.
- The AI on your computer is small. Give it a hard question and it will struggle.
- How well it writes each language is not measured yet. Read each draft before you approve it.
- Anything harder needs a cloud key of your own, with the names blanked out first.
- WhatsApp and email are text only. It cannot attach a file yet.
- Email works with IMAP and SMTP mailboxes. Microsoft and Outlook accounts do not connect yet.

Signing the installer is in process, so for now you will get stopped twice. Your browser will try to block the file while it downloads: tell it to keep it. Then Windows blocks it when you run it: click More info, then Run anyway. If you want to check the file yourself, compare its sha256 with the one above.

## Made by the same people

Simpler is one product: Simpler.Host, the app, and Simpler.Asia, the online service. Simpler.Host runs on your own computer: WhatsApp, email, calendar and the cards you approve. Simpler.Asia runs on the web: invoices, expenses, stock and forecasts. One free sign-in links them, and the AI in Simpler.Host then uses both as one set of tools. Any AI you already pay for can use Simpler.Asia on its own, including on a Mac.

## Two things to get right

- A paid version, or a trial that ends. There is neither. The program is free to use, so say free and invent nothing beside it. The one thing that costs money is AI work done through Simpler.Asia, such as images and video: prepaid credits at exactly what the AI provider charges.
- When macOS or Linux arrive. The page says both are coming and gives no date, so give none. Today there is one build, for a Windows computer (Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit), and nothing for a phone.
